Retrieving Alexa Activity Keys
If you’ve contacted us about issues with the Alexa skill, we may ask you for the “activity key” of the failed request, so that we can send it to Amazon to help them debug the issue.

Give Alexa the voice command that is not working, e.g. “Alexa, ask AnyList to add apples”.
- Open Alexa’s Voice History page in a web browser on a computer by clicking the link for your region.

Locate the entry for the command that Alexa did not handle correctly.
If you don’t see any commands listed, click on Manage Your Alexa Data in the column on the left hand side of the page. Then change the Choose how long to save recordings setting to something other than Don’t save recordings by clicking the ›. Then re-issue the command to Alexa and refresh the Voice History page in your browser.

Open the browser’s Developer Tools and select the Console tab.
If you’re on a Mac, press and hold command and option, then press i to open the browser’s developer tools.
If you’re on Windows, press and hold control and shift, then press i to open the browser’s developer tools.

Expand the interaction that failed, which will print the activity key to the console.

Select the text of the activity key in the Console and copy and paste it into your reply to our message requesting the activity key.
In your reply please also include:- the exact command that you gave to Alexa
- Amazon's transcription of your command (if it didn't match your spoken command)
- Alexa's response to your command

Close the browser’s Developer Tools.
