How do I add a note to the meal planning calendar?

Notes are Meal Plan entries that don’t require recipes, like snacks or dining out. You can assign ingredients to a note—just like recipes—and add them directly to your shopping list.

The simplest way to add a note to your meal plan is to start typing in the search field. Here’s how to get started:

1. Navigate to your Meal Plan, select Calendar at the top, choose a date, then tap the + button to add an entry.

   

2. Tap the search field at the top of the screen to start typing the name of your note. Search results appear as you type, so you can quickly find recent notes to reuse.

   

   To create a new note using what you’ve typed in the search field, simply tap the new note proposed under the heading Create Note.

   To customize properties such as details, icon, and Meal Plan label, tap the pencil icon on the right of the new note’s title. That will open the New Note screen shown below.

   

   This is also where you can add ingredients. The list icon to the left of each ingredient allows you to add it directly to your shopping list.

   When you’ve finished editing your note, tap Done.

3. You can return to your note and make changes any time by navigating to it in your Meal Plan Calendar. Tap the Note to make changes as shown in step 2 above. If you don’t remember the date you assigned the note on your Meal Plan Calendar, you can tap the search icon 🔍 in the top-left corner of the Calendar view and search for it by title.
